COSTA RICA

Costa Rica is a rugged, rainforested Central American country with coastlines on the Caribbean and Pacific
This eco-tourism trip will include three days at the beach in Manuel Antonio National Park, a small National Park located on the Pacific Coast, two days serving with a local ministry helping an orphanage, with refugees, or in construction. You also will visit San Jose, the capital Costa Rica; and spend one day at Waterfall Garden La paz and Paos Volcano.

The trip will be based at Portantorchas, a campus for Torchbearers of the Capernwray Missionary Fellowship. Portantorchas is 10 miles from San Jose, the capital city. Founded in 1991, Portantorchas is situated on 5 1/2 acres with colorful gardens and trees. The grounds of the campus are perfect for small group activities  and for spending quiet time with God.

COST

The all-inclusive cost for the trip is $1,850. A non-refundable deposit of $850 is due by Oct. 29. Final payment is due by Dec. 1. This price includes round-trip flights, room and board, and all excursions, including a special rainforest canopy tour. 

WHO CAN GO?

The trip is led by Adam Baron, director of community engagement and strategy, and his wife Maria Jose Baron. Space is limited with a max of 12 students.
