LIFESTYLE

When you study in Vienna, Austria, for a semester, you live in one of the world's most desirable cities. Vienna has ranked #1 in the Mercer survey for the highest quality of living for nine consecutive years.

CULTURE

Whether you are a history buff, a music aficionado or an art lover, Vienna has something for you. The city boasts an astonishing quantity of monuments, palaces, parks and museums, which house an impressive array of art and artifacts from all over the world.

CENTRAL

Vienna is located in central Europe giving you easy access to neighboring countries and medium-length train rides to all of Western Europe.

With your two-month Eurail pass, you can explore much of Europe.

ENGAGE

Through coursework, experiential learning and field trips, you will be fully engaged in exploring a new city, a new culture...and believe us, you also will discover so much about yourself!

You can read "Our Stories" blog to discover how the Vienna experience was life-changing for other RC students.

Meet your fellow travelers

Our Vienna team includes fellow college students from Rochester College, Lipscomb University and Oklahoma Christian University. Faculty from the institutions live and travel with students, providing oversight and mentorship. An on-site director lives in Vienna and provides invaluable tips, training and guidance for travelers. The group ranges in size from 20-40 people.

Home away
from home

You will live in an apartment building called Das Millicanhaus, which is just steps away from Vienna's efficient U-bahn system. Each apartment has a bathroom and small kitchen with a microwave, stove and small refrigerator. The building also has a shared larger kitchen, laundry facilities, a classroom, hangout space, computers, printers and free wireless. Two grocery stores and multiple cafes are within blocks of the building. The neighborhood is a nice mix of residential and business. You will be safe and able to provide for your own needs. Learn in class & around Europe

You will take classes in your home base of Vienna from Monday through Thursday. Your courses include visits to local museums, art galleries, cathedrals, parks and other local sites. You also will travel with the group to Poland and to Italy.

You will have a two-month Eurail Global Pass, which gives you access to 28 countries, including France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Students are free to choose where to travel, just so you travel in groups of three. Often students have traveled to Paris, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam and Zurich. The possibilities are endless!
